Zippo DB-WG Windy Girl – Brown / Gold

The Zippo DB-WG combines one of the brand’s most iconic advertising characters with the rich texture of a brown leather-wrapped exterior.

The regular Zippo case is wrapped in brown leather and decorated with the classic Windy Girl in elegant gold foil stamping. The deep leather color and gold artwork create a refined vintage appearance inspired by the history of Zippo advertising.

Leather gradually softens and conforms to the hand through regular use. As the surface ages, changes in color and texture add greater depth and character to the lighter.

The Zippo lighter body is made in the USA, while the leather wrapping and decorative finishing are applied in Japan.

About the Windy Girl

The Windy Girl is one of Zippo’s most recognizable advertising characters. She appeared in a nationwide Zippo advertisement in 1937, depicted as a woman lighting a cigarette in the wind.

Created to symbolize the lighter’s ability to operate in strong wind, the character later appeared repeatedly in advertisements published in prominent magazines. Windy remains an important part of Zippo’s history and the visual culture of American advertising from that era.
