The Zippo RD-WS combines the iconic Windy Girl design with a rich red genuine leather wrap and silver foil-stamped detailing. The bold red-and-silver color scheme creates an elegant contrast while preserving the classic character of the regular Zippo case.
Windy—the woman depicted lighting a cigarette in the wind—first appeared in a nationwide Zippo advertisement in 1937. The illustration later became a recurring image in Zippo advertising and remains one of the brand’s most recognizable designs.
The lighter body is made in the USA, then carefully wrapped in genuine leather and decorated in Japan. As the leather is handled and used, its color and texture will gradually develop greater character.
