GEAR TOP GT5-05 Black Leather Oil Lighter
The GEAR TOP GT5-05 combines an all-Japanese flint oil lighter with hand-stitched black cowhide.
Its brass case is individually wrapped and stitched by craftspeople in Japan. The genuine cowhide provides a warm, comfortable grip and gradually develops a softer texture and more individual appearance through regular handling and use.
Inside, the proprietary GT-ARM cap is designed to reduce fuel evaporation and extend the time between refills. Every major component, including the case and inside unit, is made in Japan.

GT-ARM Fuel-Retention System
The GT-ARM cap fits over the inside unit to help reduce the natural evaporation of lighter fluid while the lighter is not in use.
Manufacturer testing indicates approximately 25 to 30 days of use at 20 ignitions per day after filling. Actual performance will vary depending on the surrounding temperature, storage conditions, flame duration, frequency of use, and amount of fuel added.
Leather Finish and Aging
The genuine cowhide is cut, wrapped, and hand-stitched individually. Natural grain patterns, wrinkles, color variations, and differences between pieces are characteristics of genuine leather and the handcrafted finish.
The leather will gradually soften and develop a richer appearance through regular use.
Fuel and Maintenance
This lighter is shipped without fuel. Use commercially available lighter fluid intended for refillable wick-type oil lighters.
Use compatible replacement flints and follow the included instructions when refilling or servicing the lighter. Take care not to spill lighter fluid onto the leather.
Care Instructions
Wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture, direct heat, abrasive cleaners, and strong chemicals. If the leather becomes damp, allow it to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
