Zippo 169 Armor High Polish Brass Lighter

The Zippo 169 combines the substantial construction of an Armor case with the warm color and mirror-like shine of polished solid brass.

Its case walls are approximately 1.5 times thicker than those of a standard Zippo, giving the lighter greater weight and a more substantial feel in the hand. The solid brass case is left unplated, polished to a highly reflective surface, and protected with a clear coating to help slow discoloration.

A gold-toned inside unit complements the polished brass exterior, while an “A” stamp on the bottom identifies the Armor construction.

Armor Case Construction

The Armor case uses thicker metal walls while maintaining the familiar Zippo proportions. This additional thickness gives the lighter a heavier, more substantial feel than a standard regular model.

The “A” marking stamped into the bottom identifies the case as part of the Armor series.

High Polish Brass Finish

The brass case is not covered with metallic plating. Instead, the base material is polished directly to create a bright, mirror-like surface and then protected with a clear coating.

The clear coating helps slow natural tarnishing, but fingerprints, fine scratches, coating wear, and gradual changes in color may still develop through regular handling and use.

Fuel and Maintenance

This lighter is shipped without fuel. Zippo lighter fuel must be purchased separately after delivery.

Use appropriate lighter fuel and compatible replacement flints and wicks. Remove fingerprints gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, metal polish, strong chemicals, and excessive rubbing that may damage the clear coating.
