Shipping & Delivery

We offer worldwide shipping from Japan, with some country or region exclusions depending on delivery availability and shipping conditions.

Shipping Methods

We mainly ship orders using FedEx, Amazon fulfillment services in the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom, or Japan Post depending on the destination, product type, and delivery area.

For remote areas, islands, or locations where courier delivery is limited, Japan Post may be used instead.

Shipping Fee

Most orders include free international shipping.

In some cases, an additional shipping fee may apply depending on the destination country, remote area surcharge, product size, or delivery conditions. Any applicable shipping cost will be shown at checkout or communicated before shipment when necessary.

Processing Time

Orders are usually shipped within 3–7 business days after payment is confirmed.

If shipping is expected to take longer than usual, we will contact you in advance.

Please note that orders may not be shipped on weekends, Japanese national holidays, or during courier service closures.

Estimated Delivery Time

Estimated delivery time is usually 7–14 days after shipment, depending on the destination country and local delivery conditions.

Delivery may take longer due to customs inspection, weather conditions, public holidays, local postal delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Tracking Information

All orders include tracking.

Once your order has been shipped, we will send you a tracking number so you can follow the delivery status of your package.

Delivery Delays or Lost Packages

If your package is delayed, lost, or shows no tracking updates for an extended period, please contact us.

We will check the shipping status and contact the courier or postal service on your behalf. We will do our best to support you until the issue is resolved.

 

Customs Duties & Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges depending on the destination country.

Buyer Responsibility

Customs duties, import taxes, and related fees are generally the responsibility of the buyer.

These charges are determined by the customs authority of the destination country and are not included in the product price unless otherwise stated at checkout.

DDP Shipping for the United States and EU

For orders shipped to the United States and European Union countries, we use DDP shipping when available.

DDP means that applicable import duties and taxes are collected in advance through Shopify’s automatic duty and tax collection system at checkout.

In this case, the amount shown and collected at checkout is based on Shopify’s system. If the actual customs charge exceeds the amount already collected at checkout, we will cover the additional customs charge.

DAP Shipping for Other Countries

For countries outside the United States and European Union, orders are generally shipped under DAP terms.

DAP means that import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, or other local charges may be billed to the buyer upon arrival in the destination country.

Please check your country’s import rules before placing an order if you are unsure about possible customs charges.

Customs Amounts

Because customs duties and import taxes are calculated by each country’s customs authority, we cannot determine the exact final amount in advance.

For US and EU orders where duties and taxes are collected at checkout, the amount is calculated automatically by Shopify’s system.

Refusal to Pay Customs Fees

If a package is refused by the buyer due to customs duties, import taxes, local fees, or any other buyer-related reason, the order will be treated as a customer refusal.

In such cases, return shipping costs, customs-related fees, handling fees, and other expenses will not be refunded.

 

Product Authenticity

We sell only authentic and genuine products.

All items listed for sale in our store are carefully selected and sourced as genuine products. We do not sell counterfeit items, imitation brand products, or used lighter cases.

Authentic ZIPPO Lighters

All ZIPPO lighters sold in our store are authentic ZIPPO products.

The lighter body is manufactured by ZIPPO in the USA, and the decorative finishing, including engraving, plating, printing, metal appliqué work, and other design processes, is completed in Japan.

For ZIPPO products, the country of manufacture and decorative finishing are generally described as follows:

  • Country of Manufacture: USA
  • Decorative Finishing: Japan

This combination brings together the trusted reliability of an authentic American ZIPPO lighter with refined Japanese decorative craftsmanship.

GEAR TOP Lighters

GEAR TOP is a Japanese lighter brand.

All GEAR TOP lighters sold in our store are made in Japan. They are manufactured and finished in Japan, reflecting Japanese craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail.

Licensed and Official Character Products

For anime, Studio Ghibli, manga, or other character-related items, we clearly indicate whether the product is licensed or official in each product description.

Items described as “official” or “licensed” are genuine officially licensed products.

Archive Collection

Some discontinued products may appear in our Archive Collection for reference purposes only.

Archive items are not available for purchase through our store. They are displayed as historical references for collectors and enthusiasts.

Product Condition

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, all items available for purchase are unused and in new condition.

We do not sell used lighter cases.

If there are any special notes about condition, packaging, production year, discontinued status, or availability, they will be clearly stated on the individual product page.

 

ZIPPO Lighters

Please read the following information before purchasing a ZIPPO lighter from our store.

Lighter Fluid Is Not Included

Due to international aviation safety regulations, we cannot ship lighter fluid.

All ZIPPO lighters are shipped without lighter fluid and will arrive empty and unfilled.

Before use, please purchase ZIPPO lighter fluid or suitable lighter fluid in your country.

Flint and Flint Screw

Due to international shipping and aviation safety regulations, the flint and flint screw may be removed from the lighter before shipment.

They will be included in the package, but the lighter may require simple assembly after arrival.

Customers are responsible for reinstalling the flint and flint screw before use.

Before First Use

Your ZIPPO lighter will not be ready to ignite immediately upon arrival.

Before using it, please make sure to:

  • Reinstall the flint and flint screw if they have been removed for shipping
  • Fill the lighter with ZIPPO lighter fluid or suitable lighter fluid
  • Allow the wick to absorb the fluid properly before ignition
  • Follow ZIPPO’s official safety and usage instructions

ZIPPO Lifetime Guarantee

ZIPPO lighters are covered by ZIPPO’s lifetime guarantee for lighter function.

Please note that the lifetime guarantee applies to the functional parts of the lighter only.

Decorative elements such as plating, engraving, printing, paint, stones, metal appliqués, leather, wood, resin panels, or other exterior decorations are not covered by the ZIPPO lifetime guarantee.

Decorative Finishing

Many ZIPPO lighters sold in our store feature decorative finishing completed in Japan, including engraving, plating, printing, stone setting, metal appliqué work, and other design processes.

Please handle decorative models with care, as scratches, wear, discoloration, or damage to decorative parts may occur over time depending on use and storage conditions.

Important Note

ZIPPO lighters use flammable lighter fluid and should always be handled responsibly.

Please keep lighters, lighter fluid, flints, and small parts away from children and pets.

 

Packaging & Gifts

We carefully pack each order so that your item arrives safely.

Product Packaging

Most ZIPPO lighters are shipped with an official ZIPPO paper box and warranty card.

Most GEAR TOP lighters are shipped with their dedicated GEAR TOP box and manufacturer warranty card.

If a product includes a special presentation case, wooden box, velvet-style case, or other special packaging, it will be stated on the individual product page.

Gift Wrapping

We currently do not offer gift wrapping service.

However, many of our products come in official brand packaging, making them suitable for gifts, collectors, and special occasions.

Invoice and Price Information

We normally include an invoice, packing slip, or document showing the purchase information in the package.

If your order is a gift and you do not want us to include documents showing the price, please contact us immediately after placing your order.

We will do our best to remove price-related documents before shipment when possible.

Please note that customs declarations or shipping labels may still require certain product values to be listed for international shipping.

Protective Packaging

Items are usually protected with bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy cardboard shipping box.

For orders fulfilled by Amazon fulfillment services, packaging materials and shipping methods may differ depending on the fulfillment center and destination.

Special Cases and Limited Packaging

Some collectible models may include special packaging such as a wooden box, velvet-style case, or limited-edition presentation box.

These special cases are included only when clearly stated on the individual product page.

 

Returns & Cancellations

Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to cancel or return an order.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before shipment whenever possible.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us immediately after placing the order.

Once the order has already been shipped, cancellation is no longer possible as a pre-shipment cancellation. In that case, the request will be handled as a return.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days after delivery.

If you would like to return an item, please contact us first before sending it back.

Items returned without prior contact may not be accepted.

Customer-Initiated Returns

For returns due to customer reasons, the buyer may be responsible for return shipping costs, cancellation fees, payment processing fees, customs-related charges, or other expenses incurred during the transaction.

Refunds will be processed after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Defective Items or Incorrect Orders

If the item arrives defective, damaged, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 14 days after delivery.

In the case of an initial defect, shipping damage, or incorrect shipment caused by our store, we will cover the necessary return or replacement shipping costs.

Please provide photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label so that we can confirm the issue and assist you smoothly.

Non-Returnable Items

Used items cannot be returned.

ZIPPO or oil lighters that have been filled with lighter fluid cannot be returned for safety reasons.

Items that show signs of use, damage, modification, missing parts, or missing packaging may not be eligible for return.

Opening the package only does not automatically make the item non-returnable, as long as the item remains unused and in resalable condition.

Archive Collection Items

Items displayed in our Archive Collection are not available for purchase.

Archive pages are provided for reference purposes only and are not subject to return or cancellation policies.

Refused Deliveries

If a package is refused by the buyer or returned due to unpaid customs duties, import taxes, local fees, incorrect address, failure to receive the package, or other buyer-related reasons, return shipping costs, customs-related fees, handling fees, and other expenses may be deducted from the refund.

Original shipping costs and payment-related fees may also be non-refundable.

 

About Collectible & Discontinued Items

Some products in our store may be limited edition, discontinued, or hard-to-find collectible models.

New and Unused Items

Discontinued items available for purchase in our store are new and unused items from remaining stock.

We do not generally sell vintage or used ZIPPO lighters.

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, items available for purchase are unused and in new condition.

Limited and Discontinued Models

Some collectible models may no longer be in production by the manufacturer.

If such an item is still available in our store, it means we currently have stock available for purchase.

Once sold out, discontinued or limited models may not be restocked.

Archive Collection

Our Archive Collection is provided for reference purposes only.

Archive items are discontinued or sold-out models and are not available for purchase through our store.

These pages are intended as historical references for collectors, enthusiasts, and customers who wish to learn more about past models.

Availability

We generally sell only items that are currently in stock.

For limited, discontinued, or collectible products, availability may be very limited. If you are interested in a particular model, we recommend placing your order while it is still available.

Response Time

We usually respond as soon as possible during our business days.

Our regular business days are Monday to Friday, Japan time.

Please note that we may not reply on weekends or Japanese national holidays. Messages received during weekends or holidays will be answered on the next business day or as soon as possible.

Languages

We mainly support English and Japanese.

Order Inquiries

This helps us check your order status and respond more quickly.
