The GEAR TOP GT1-08 combines an uncoated solid brass case with the brand’s proprietary GT-ARM fuel-retention system.

The Wild Brass surface is intentionally left without final polishing, protective coating, or anti-tarnish treatment. It may already display oxidation, discoloration, fine scratches, surface marks, or variations in tone when new.

These irregularities are part of the intended Wild Brass appearance. No two pieces will look exactly alike, and the brass will continue to develop a natural patina through handling and use.

Wild Brass Surface

This model is intentionally manufactured without final polishing, protective coating, or anti-tarnish treatment.

Because the brass is exposed to the surrounding air, a new lighter may already show:

• Natural oxidation
• Darkened or discolored areas
• Fine scratches and surface marks
• Uneven color or tone
• Individual variation between pieces

These characteristics will vary from the product images and from one lighter to another. The surface will continue to change through contact with air, moisture, and the user’s hands, gradually becoming unique to its owner.

GT-ARM Fuel-Retention System

The GT-ARM cap covers the ignition area when the outer lid is closed. This proprietary structure is designed to limit airflow around the wick and help reduce fuel evaporation between uses.

Actual fuel retention will vary according to temperature, storage conditions, flame duration, frequency of use, and the amount of fuel added.

Fuel and Maintenance

This lighter is shipped without fuel. Use commercially available lighter fluid intended for refillable wick-type oil lighters.

Use compatible replacement flints and follow the included instructions when refilling or servicing the lighter.

Care Instructions

Wipe the case gently with a soft, dry cloth. If you wish to preserve the developing patina, avoid metal polish, abrasive cleaners, and strong chemicals.

Exposure to moisture may accelerate oxidation. The appearance of the uncoated brass will naturally continue to change with time and use.
