NEO by DOUGLASS Black No.2 Japanese Brass Oil Lighter
The NEO by DOUGLASS Black No.2 is a distinctive flint oil lighter made in Japan.
This new color edition of the NEO series features a brass body finished with deep black plating. The rich black surface accentuates the texture and mechanical character of the metal, giving the lighter a refined and understated appearance.
The No.2 model features an everyday water-resistant construction. The flame outlet is protected by a threaded screw-type chimney cap, while the flint wheel is covered by a fitted push-on cap.
This practical two-cap design helps protect the ignition and flame areas from light moisture encountered during ordinary daily use.
Please note that this lighter is water-resistant for everyday conditions but is not completely waterproof. Do not submerge it in water.

Black-Plated Brass Finish
The body is made from brass and finished with deep black plating.
The dark surface highlights the compact mechanical form of the NEO No.2 while preserving the material-focused design concept of the original NEO series.
As with other plated metal products, the black finish may gradually show signs of wear through regular handling and use. These natural surface changes are not considered manufacturing defects.
Everyday Water-Resistant Design
The NEO Black No.2 is designed to provide added protection against light moisture during ordinary daily use.
The threaded chimney cap covers the flame outlet, while the fitted push-on cap protects the flint wheel area.
This lighter is not fully waterproof. Do not submerge it in water or expose it to prolonged or heavy moisture. If the lighter becomes wet, dry it thoroughly before refilling or ignition.
How to Use the Caps
- Unscrew and remove the chimney cap.
- Remove the push-on cap covering the flint wheel.
- Ignite the lighter using the flint wheel.
- After use, extinguish the flame completely.
- Replace both caps securely.
Replacing both caps after use helps protect the ignition mechanism and flame outlet from dust and light moisture.
Flint Compatibility
This lighter accepts replacement flints measuring approximately 2.3 mm in diameter × 4.0 mm in length.
Compatible options include NEO by DOUGLASS flints and many standard lighter flints, such as ZIPPO-style and RONSON-style replacement flints of the correct size.
DOUGLASS / MARVELOUS common flints measuring approximately 2.9 mm in diameter are not compatible with this model.
Always check the flint dimensions before installation.
Fuel Information
Use commercially available lighter fluid intended for refillable oil lighters.
This lighter is shipped without fuel due to international aviation safety regulations. Lighter fluid is not included and must be purchased separately after delivery.
